Original Paintings
Each of my paintings is a unique piece. I work with egg tempera, oils, acrylics, and oil pastels. Oil pastels are usually painted sketches which I will later use to create a painting using one of the aforementioned media. Painted sketches can be mixed-media: oil pastels, ink, pencil, etc.
The supports I use for my paintings varies depending on the medium I’m using. I use wooden panels or canvas glued to a wooden panel for egg tempera paintings and some oils. I use paper for oil pastels, but sometimes also for acrylics and egg temperas. Original paintings are sold framed or stretched (wooden stretchers).
Original Prints
My original prints can be as varied as the original paintings. These prints are unique and numbered - limited editions which are rarely more than 25 copies per series. I can use techniques such as airbrush mixed with other media, silkscreens, or a giclée print with a color wash. When the original painting has gold leaf, I will add gold leaf to the original prints. Original prints can be sold framed for an additional charge.
Prints
My prints, or non-original prints, are digital reproductions of my original paintings. These prints are called giclée, and they are considered fine art reproductions. With few exceptions, they are unlimited editions. As with the original prints, if the original has gold leaf, I will add it to the print. In this case I will use imitation gold leaf. Prints are sold unframed.
